Value Add Services

clientuploads/IT-desktop-set-up-1.jpgIn todays market one of our key challenges remains resources.  This dictates that focus must be maintained with skills applied to the correct disciplines. PCC are experts in the field of infrastructure provision of I.T., AV and sound-masking services.  While we offer a full design build package for these disciplines we also provide the value add services associated.

Once an organization forms a strategic plan it is essential that the decision makers are supported with detailed information on which to evaluate, prioritize and budget.  PCC offer a range of services including design, consulting, audit and survey for renovations and new build to ensure all the essential information is captured.

Design and Consulting Services:

Modifying an existing building or system, adding additional users or assessing a potential office relocation.

  •   System assessments for existing structured cabling, sound-masking, wireless and audio-visual
  • Design services for new or modified structured cabling, sound-masking, wireless and audio-visual
  • Supporting documentation

The BICSI RCDD—A Professional Credential of Design Knowledge

The Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD®) credential is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated knowledge in the design, integration and implementation of telecommunications and data communications transport systems and related infrastructure. The RCDD credential is achieved by passing a comprehensive exam based on BICSI’s world-renowned Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual (TDMM). RCDDs must meet stringent continuing education requirements and continually increase their knowledge through frequent interaction with others in the information transport systems (ITS) community. An RCDD is uniquely positioned to create the detailed design of new systems and/or the integration of a design into an existing system. The RCDD credential is globally recognized within the ITS industry. Want to know more ...

System Audits and Surveys:

To assist in the decision to update, add and/or change existing I.T. services accurate information is critical. Know what you have, what is working and what is not.

A full survey and audit provides clear detailed information on where the system is today while providing a point of reference for planning and documenting recommendations to improve the overall effectiveness.

  • Structured Cabling Audit: identify system performance, port availability, faults, capacity, numbering and testing
  • Wireless Heat Mapping: verify installations and identify issues with coverage and bandwidth.
  • Audio Visual: evaluate and inventory existing equipment and capabilities.

Moves, Adds and Changes (MAC):

Predicting the shape of your business in the future is very difficult to do.  One thing that is reasonably easy to predict is that there will be change.  The drivers for change include growth and expansion, downscaling, system refresh or team consolidation.

Meeting change can be a time sensitive issue where the I.T services required to meet the demands must be reconfigured and operational without disruption to workflow.

Working with I.T. and Facilities teams PCC have the experience to take on the planning and implementation of change.  Developing a scope of work, identifying infrastructure requirements and providing the resources to complete the MAC project.  On completion we submit final reporting including an updated as built CAD drawing.

Options available:

  • Project Driven Contract
  • Managed Service Contract – employees assigned to client site to provide day to day support for small changes to the physical infrastructure of the business.

I.T. Desk Top Setup:

More technology is used by individuals today than previously experienced. Most users work on a daily basis with a computer and/or laptop, multiple screens, telephone, cell phones, tablets and other assorted peripheral units.  The work surface is slowly losing space to the volume of units that need to be accommodated.

The solution is an agreed standard developed with the client for the setup of all desks.  This includes for the provision of a defined I.T. kit of parts and desk top cable management systems.  PCC technicians are trained and experienced in the implementation of a kit of parts strategy for relocation projects.  This ensures continuity from the network deployment to the end user desk position.
