With the RapidNet unique 'plug and play' pre-terminated, pre-tested solution you can reduce the installation time for structured cabling by up to 85%. A complete UTP and shielded end-to-end solution, RapidNet is the perfect choice for data centres, trading floors, disaster recovery - in fact any time critical installation where every minute counts. As a solution, the system combines outstanding performance with previously unthinkable installation convenience from the communications room through to the workstation.
RapidNet is an innovative, standards compliant, fully patented, pre-terminated, pre-tested and pre-labelled 'plug and play' cabling system which does not require on-site termination. Designed around a unique cassette system, RapidNet dramatically reduces installation time by as much as 85% with no compromise to system quality and reliability.
While UTP remains the more common application, shielded systems protect data from potentially damaging electromagnetic interference (EMI) by surrounding the cable with a protective foil to block out unwanted signals that could adversely affect the operation of the device or system. Installations where shielded systems are often used include industrial facilities and airports or those running mission critical systems, such as military installations, banks and hospitals where use of a shielded network protects data from interference from equipment such as x-ray machines and MRI scanners.

The pod is designed to present six pre-terminated Category 6 UTP outlets, completed with labelling; each outlet is protected by a removable transparent cover to keep the dust and debris of installation away from the jacks

Technical Information
- Pod is constructed of robust white ABS V0 plastic.
- The panel cassette end is designed to present six pre-terminated Category 6 UTP/FTP outlets built into a protective case.
- Pod is fitted with a removable hard plastic cover to protect against dust and debris
- The pod is designed for convenient mounting in standard floor boxes or to provide a moveable consolidation point in ceiling voids.
- The Black PC/ABS plastic Cassette is designed to clip into the patchpanel with the whole operation taking just seconds to complete.
- The quick release latches allow the Cassette to be removed and replaced in the patchpanel allowing the assembly to be relocated, within a data centre for example, or used as a temporary installation.
